and I'm running for Town Council
Experience Where It Counts!!!
Carstairs is a young and vibrant community with outstanding growth potential.
With your help I would like to continue to play an active role in shaping our future by:
- listening to the concerns and desires of the community and business people
- using my position on council to bring forward those concerns into a forum where they will be given fair representation
- providing ongoing feedback to the constituents as to the outcome of their concerns and the direction council is taking the town
As Carstairs approaches and surpasses the 5000 population mark there are going to be some significant decisions that need to be made:
- Securing adequate policing for the community while ensuring financial accountability
- Completion of the new tri services building (on budget)
- Expansion of the fresh water system for the town
- Expansion of the sewage treatment facility
- Securing a new Seniors lodge so we can keep pace with our surrounding communities
- Working with Chinooks Edge School Board to ensure learning space capacity continues to grow as our population does
- Encourage the development of additional commercial and industrial space in order to promote more local employment opportunities and better balance the tax revenue in the budget.
This is a critical time for Carstairs and a Strong Experienced voice is what is needed.
